Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARTHUR KLIEWER On Monday, December 8, 2008, Arthur Kliewer, aged 83, went to be with Jesus whom he loved and served. He was our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Arthur was born in Wymyschle, Poland on January 6, 1925, the ninth of 10 children. He immigrated to Canada where he met and married Katie Wiebe. Arthur was a lineman with Manitoba Telecom Services for 36 years, retiring in 1985. He and Katie traveled often and spent many happy winters with friends in Palm Springs and summers at the cottage with family. He was a passionate fisherman and gardener. He was a loving, supportive, and devoted father. Just one example of his generosity and love for his family was when he and Katie hosted their children and grandchildren on an Alaskan Cruise. It was with great joy that he and Katie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in this way. Arthur was predeceased by his parents, five brothers and four sisters. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Katie, children Louise Enns, Lori Hildebrand, Richard Kliewer (Debra Maruca) and Ron Kliewer, grandchildren Melinda Enns (Ross Osmun), Marni (Rob Enns), Kathryn Hildebrand, Matthew Hildebrand, and Philip Enns, and his great-grandchildren Taylia, Megan, and Anika Enns, and Eric and Avery Osmun. He will also be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law, Susan Kliewer, Tina Kliewer, Agnes Roesler, and numerous nephews and nieces. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 15 at Elmwood Mennonite Brethren Church, 145 Henderson Hwy. at 10:30 a.m. with viewing one hour before the service. Interment will follow at Glen Eden. We especially thank the first floor staff at Donwood Manor for their compassion and care for our Dad and the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Family Life Network.
