WISLOFF A. (WES) LANGLEY It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of my beloved, loving husband, Wisloff (Wes) A. Langley on December 8th, 2008 at his residence. He leaves to cherish his memory his dearest wife Olivia (Ollie). Wes also leaves to cherish his memory his brother T. Marcus and his wife Lucille of Moorehead, MN as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Rev. Thor J. Langley and mother Mollie; his sister Margaret (Elesworth) Pederson; brother John (Phyllis) of Edmonton, AB. Wes was born in Birch Hill, SK., married in Outlook, SK to a Winnipeg girl and they were together for 51 years. He was very proud to serve his country in the Second World War. He enlisted with the Regina Rifles and served overseas as a corporal. In his return from the war, he joined the Winnipeg Police Force and worked for 43 years, retiring from the force as an inspector. Being an active senior, he worked for a short time as a security officer. He enjoyed sports, walking, playing cards, curling, skating, reading, etc. Wes was a kind, generous, thoughtful man who loved his family and friends and who in turn loved him. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. A remembrance of Wisloff's life will be held on Monday, December 15th, 2008 at noon, with viewing 1 hour prior at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 600 Minto St. in Winnipeg, MB. with Pastor Nancy Walker officiating. Wes, you will always be remembered, never to be forgotten. I love you. A great thanks goes out to the Winnipeg Police Force, Winnipeg Fire Department (Paramedics) and the RCMP for all their precious time and service. Eternal rest grant onto him O'Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
