VALORIE FLORENCE UNSWORTH (nee HABKIRK) It is with deep sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Valorie Florence Unsworth on Wednesday, December 10th, 2008. Valorie is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 50 years, Barry; children, Blair (Lori), Scott (Georgie) and Adele (Wayne); grandchildren, Taylor and Charlee; sister Miriam (Ralph); niece Karen and nephew Greg. Valorie was a very dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and her family meant the world to her. She was a very caring person who always put her family and friends first. She was an avid member of the Windsor Park United Church, as well as the UCW. Previously, she was a volunteer for speech therapy at Shamrock School, as well as assisting Barry with Meals on Wheels. Through this all, she courageously battled breast cancer for 22 years. On behalf of the family, a special thanks to Dr. Harris and all Val's friends at the Oncology Department of Concordia Hospital. A private family interment will take place on Saturday, December 13th, 2008. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Concordia Oncology Clinic.
