DONALD ARMAN JONASSON It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Father and Papa on Friday, December 12, 2008 in Carberry, Manitoba. Don was predeceased by his wife Pat, his Mother and Father and his brothers and sisters. Born in Vidir, Manitoba on November 18, 1938, Don joined the Armed Forces and travelled throughout Europe. Upon discharge, he returned to Manitoba where he spent the majority of his career in the construction industry. He had a passion for woodworking and enjoyed many hours with Jeff working on various projects. Don also loved to cook for his many friends and family. There were not many days that went by without a couple of extra people at the dinner table. His son Jeff, daughter in law Tracy and grandchildren Jessica, Paige and Brett will miss his quick wit and the close bond that they shared. He was extremely proud of his family and their accomplishments. Left to mourn his passing is his son Jeff (Tracy), daughter Shelley (John) and grandchildren Jessica, Paige, Brett, Larry, Thomas and Daniel. He will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Don's life will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carberry United Church, 608 Third Avenue, Carberry, Manitoba with Rev. Peggy Reid officiating.
