WALTER PLESH It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Walter Plesh. After a brave battle with cancer Walter passed away in the evening of December 12, 2008. He is survived by his wife Jean of 60 years, brothers Andrew (Marge), sister Mary, children, Allan (Karin), Garry, Tom, Patti, Angie Robertson (Tom), grandchildren, Tommy (Erin), Jamie (Hayley), Ian (Jenny), Ryan (Jennifer), great-grandchildren, Gavin and numerous nephews and nieces. Born on May 24, 1920, Walter grew up in Ashville, MB and after 5 years of service during the Second World War, spent the balance of his life in St. James. Walter will best be remembered for his dedication to family life. He loved sports and so too do all of his children. During their developmental years he spent endless time as a volunteer for Airways, Bord-Aire and Bourkevale Community Clubs. Walter was a dedicated employee at Seaway Midwest during his working years for in excess of 40 years. He was also a devout catholic where he has spent the past 50 years attending the St. Ann's Catholic Church in St. James. Our family would like to send special thanks to the Health Sciences Centre Rehab Facility Centre (RR6), as well as their CancerCare Facility. Special thanks go out to Sister Alice of St. Ann's. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church with viewing at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to CancerCare MB.
