MARY MAE MARGARET GOODMAN (nee PORTEOUS) On the morning of Saturday, December 13, 2008 Mary passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Grace General Hospital at the age of 70 years. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 50 years, Donald; her children, Diane and Ron (Kristen); and was a wonderful grandma to Bradley, Sara, Hanna and Emma. Mary is survived by mother Olga Porteous; brothers, Garry (Marlene) Porteous and Lloyd (Gayle) Porteous. Born May 12, 1938, Mary lived all her life in St. James. As a young girl she was known for her athletic abilities especially baseball, and in her later years loved to coach. Mary enjoyed the simple things like spending time with her four grandchildren, building puzzles with her aunt Hilda, and cooking for her family. At mom's, bacon and eggs were on the menu day or night. Even toast tasted better at Mary's. Mary's funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. A special thank you to all the staff of ICU at the Grace General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Rest In Peace, Mom.
