JACKSON (DALE) BAKER November 7, 1962 - December 13, 2008 We sadly announce the passing of Dale on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at the Grace Hospital after a tragic snowmobile accident. Sadly missed by love of his life Corinne; daughters, Jasmine and Ashley and his dog Scooter; father Jack; brother Craig (Cindy); sisters, Kimberly, Susan (Mike); nephews, Dexter and Jake; niece Anja; father-in-law Lloyd (Lori) and sister-in-law Sheila. Dale will also be missed by numerous family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Shirley Baker; grandmother Anastasia Baker; uncle Marion Baker; mother-in-law Margaret Crossman and a close friend Jim Donaldson. Born in Winnipeg; Dale lived the majority of his life in St. James, graduated in 1980 from Sturgeon Creek (S.C.S.R.C.). Soon after graduation he began his career as an automotive technician leading to opening a partnership automotive repair service facility with Ron Shaw, Dale and Ron's Roblin Auto Service. Dale was a loving husband and father. He was fun, caring, encouraging, nice and truthful, who always made you laugh. He was an honest, awesome mechanic, passionate about his hobbies and family, willing to give a helping hand to anyone who asked or needed his help. Dale loved snowmobiling and surrounded himself with those friends who shared his love of snowmobiling. His other love was golf, he would golf year round, even participating in a virtual golf league, and he loved it so much he would golf everywhere! We wouldn't be explaining Dale if we didn't mention his love of NASCAR racing. Dale's funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19 at 1:00 p.m. in Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for Dale's daughters at TD Canada Trust payable to Corinne Baker In Trust. www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com

  • It's truly sad when we see our friends pass without recognizing what they meant to us. Corinne, although we do not see each other as much because of distance, our friendship will always remain strong and our thoughts are with you , Ashley and Jasmine. We will miss his everyday smile, his gift of helping others and his honesty. Most of all we will miss his laugh. - Posted by: Trent/Julie Sue Wood (Friend) on: Dec 17, 2008
