Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE ZELLERINE CAMPBELL February 1, 1907 - December 15, 2008 Peacefully on Monday December 15, 2008, Mother passed away at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 101 after a long and fruitful life. Mother was predeceased by her loving husband John McLeod Campbell on December 24, 1968. Left to cherish mother's beautiful memory are her only son Don (Carla), Don's daughters Jennifer and Audra, niece Helen Granger Young and her children Barbara (Lars), Scott (Deborah), Debbie (Bob), Dale (Deb) and their families all who were very fond of their great- Aunt, nephew Arden Swalm of Regina, Phillis Winger of Saskatoon, nephew Jack Granger (Marion) of Toronto, niece Madelene Launchbury of Emsdale, ON, nephew Don McTavish of Toronto. My mother was orphaned at the age of 12 years and she and her older sister Sadie were sent to live with a married sister (Ursula Baker) on the farm at Kindersley, SK. Mother was not fond of farm life and left the farm to attend business school in Montreal at age 18. Mother then moved to Nakusp, BC where she met the love of her life, who lived across the mountains in Vernon, BC. After living in Vancouver for a short period, Dad was transferred to Winnipeg with Eaton's Contract Sales Division. His career spanned over 25 wonderful years, thus becoming a member of the much coveted Eaton's Quarter Century Club. The Campbell house hold was a true member of the Eaton fraternity with many good times with fellow Eatonites. The Campbell residence on Kingston Row was a favourite gathering spot and hosted many great parties with family and friends Mother spent many fond weekends and summers at the family camp at Falcon Lake and strong friendships were formed with the Falcon crowd. Mother was instrumental in forming a Bridge Club with her girl friends and played almost weekly for over 45 years until well into her nineties. Mother was very athletic playing golf, tennis, badminton until she was almost 90, when her health prevented her from not being able to continue these activities. Friends will remember her much-loved 1969 Pontiac Firebird which she drove for almost 20 years and sold at only 21,000 original miles. Respecting Mother's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Friends and family will be invited to a celebration at our home at a later date. The family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to the caring staff of Wolseley 3 and the Cornish 6 units at the Misericordia Interim Care Facility and the Riverview Health Centre CD4. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Anne's name to a charity of ones choice. Funeral Arrangements in Care of: WHEELER FUNERAL CHAPEL 211 Regent Ave. West (at Bond) 224-1525
