ELIE LEO SILVERA December 21, 1915 - December 18, 2008 Leo passed peacefully at the age of 92 at Riverview Health Centre. Leo will be lovingly remembered by his children Monica Schor (Eduardo) and David Silvera (Anne); his grandchildren, Ariel and Pablo and his sister Camille Cowan. Also left to mourn are Isaias and Vera Schor and family and friends in Winnipeg, Manchester and London (UK), United States, Mexico and Buenos Aires (Argentina), where he spent most of his life. He was predeceased by his parents David Silvera and Salha Attie; wives, Maria Luisa Blanke and Freda Cowan; sisters, Linda, Queenie, Rosie, Doris, Yvette, Ines and Violet, and brother Ezra Joe. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2008 at Temple Shalom, 1077 Grant Avenue at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caring staff of the Victoria General Hospital and Riverview Health Centre (3W).
