MARY WORONA February 4, 1920 - December 18, 2008 Mary Worona passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at the Selkirk Hospital after a short battle with colon cancer. She was born February 4, 1920 in the Brokenhead District to Rose and Charles Baumgartner. She was predeceased by her husband Nick Worona in January 2002, her sister Jean Gmiterek and brother Leonard Baumgartner. She will be sadly missed by her sons, Lawrence (Pearl), Norman, Harold, James (Leslie) and Richard (Mary Lu); daughters, Doris and Valerie (Mike). Also surviving are grandchildren, Lori, Andy (Kate), Robyn and Jeffrey and great-grandchildren, Cody, Dylan, Kennedy and Mason. She leaves her sister Caroline Slusarchuk of Winnipeg; brothers, Bill (Shirley) Baumgartner of Regina, SK, and Louis (Helen) Baumgartner of Kelowna, BC, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of the Selkirk Hospital and to Home Care Susan, Carol, Lucy, Elma and Kris. At the request of the family, flowers are gratefully declined.
