WALTER WALLMAN Passed away in Nanaimo, BC on December 17, 2008 at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife Hilda of 56 years; his sons, Randy and wife Kathy from Spokane, Washington, Lindsay and wife Angela from Saskatoon, SK; daughters, Janice and husband Bruce from Port Moody, BC, Linda and husband Frank from Qualicum Beach, BC. He is also survived by his brothers, Jake (Freda) from Steinbach, MB, Dave (Mary) from Winnipeg, and his sister Helen (Peter) from Winnipeg. Predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Helena, and sister Henrietta. Walter loved his farming career in Brunkild, Manitoba that spanned from the yard where he was born to 1984. Walter never missed the opportunity to make us laugh with his great sense of humour and his uncanny ability to remember every joke he ever heard. Walter and Hilda moved to Nanaimo in 1988 where he worked as a mechanic for Green Thumb Nurseries for 10 years. His favourite pastimes were family visits, hunting, fishing and enjoying the company of his dear friends. A celebration of Walter's life will be held at the Neighborhood Church on 4951 Rutherford Road, Nanaimo, BC at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2009. Sands - Nanaimo
