ROSALIA (ROSE) BERA (nee BLASKO) Our dearest Mama, passed away, peacefully, on Friday, December 19, 2008, at the Gimli Betel Home in Gimli, MB. Mama was born in 1915 and grew up at Whytewold, MB. Mom and Dad were married in 1941 and moved to Pleasant Home were they farmed. Mom worked very hard while on the farm. In 1967 they sold the farm and moved to Sandy Hook to retire. Mom loved to cook, bake, garden, go into the city shopping and visit friends and relatives. She was always fun to be around. She would always make coffee and a meal was made for anyone who came over. Mom made holopchi to die for and her bread and buns were the best. Mom will be sadly missed by her children, Linda (friend Ernie Dola); son-in-law Walter Klochko; son Tom (Mary) Berra; grandchildren, Tessa Klochko, Leona (Stephen), Colleen (friend Roger), Marcie (Leavin), Jaclyn (Tim) and Trisha (friend Dan); great-grandchildren, Owen and Reese Kerr, Carson Rogalio; step-greatgrandson Cody Magis; sister Ann Rudy; brother Joe Blasko; sisters-in-law, Nettie Blasko and Hazel Blasko; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1987; brothers, Mike, John, Nick, Frank and Bob; sister Stella; and stepdaughter Emily Carlson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB, with Father Peter Chorney officiating. Lunch will follow immediately after the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the lunch at St. Stephens Cemetery in Pleasant Home, MB. Pallbearers will be her six granddaughters, Leona, Colleen, Marcie, Jaclyn, Trisha and Tessa. Honorary pallbearers are Stephen Kerr, Tim Blazonovic and Linda Klochko.
