Pauline was born in Arbakka, Manitoba. In 1942 our mom moved to Winnipeg where she met her husband George. They were married on October 16, 1948 and began to raise a family. Mom held several jobs, the last being at the Winnipeg Free Press. Mom enjoyed spending time with her loving children and grandchildren. Her interests included sewing, bingo, family affairs and especially, planning for birthdays and Christmas. Birthdays were never forgotten. Mom also cherished her pet dog Charlie. Our mom was a loving wife who cared for all her cherished family and friends. For this she will always be remembered. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Miss Me But Let Me Go When I come to the end of the road, And the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room, Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long, And not with your head bowed low; Remember the love that we once shared, Miss me, but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take, And each must go alone, It's part of the Master's plan, A step on the road to home. So when you are lonely and sick at heart, Go to the friends we know, And bury your sorrow in doing good deeds, Miss me, but let me go. Funeral service will be held at the St. Ivan Suchavsky Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 939 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB, with Father Henry Lakusta officiating on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Public viewing from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery # 1 Green Acres Lane, (204) 222-3241 Life stories may be shared with friends and family across the globe at www.mem.com
