MARGARET ANITA RAMEY September 16, 1912 December 23, 2008 Margaret Ramey, of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at the Chinook Care Centre at the age of 96 years. Although born in Alsask, Saskatchewan, Margaret lived most of her life in Winnipeg where she was employed by the Manitoba Hospital Commission. After moving to Calgary in 1997, she enjoyed many happy years at Trinity Lodge where she loved knitting for the needy, organizing her stamp collection, reading to Children in the Grandparent's Program and playing tile rummy. Margaret leaves to mourn her sister, Dorothy Baird; her niece Jane Hawkins and family as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and close friends in Manitoba and Alberta. She was predeceased by her parents Perry and Lila; her brothers Tommy, Alex, Stewart and Randy; sister Helen and niece Lila. A private graveside service will be held in Winnipeg at a later date.
