ANNE HYKAWY (BOBROWICH) Suddenly on December 24, 2008 at her residence the Lord sent His Christmas Angels for Mom. She and Dad are together watching over us. She was born on July 31, 1930 and is survived by daughter Rose (Harald) Baehnk; by sons Ken (Diane), Tim (Amanda). She cherished her grandchildren Darryl, Chad (Tracy), Dennis (Kim), Jaclyn, Ryan (Stephanie); and Janie Lee; great-grandchildren Al, Alix, Noah, Austin, Ashton; brother Paul, sister Elsie (Einar), sister-in-laws Eva, Carrie Hykawy, Kay Grabowski, many nieces and nephews, neighbours, friends and her furry companion Nosey. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary, husband Andrew, brother Tony, and sister Jean. Mom married Dad on August 12, 1947. They were married 46 years. Mom lived a simple life. She was devoted to her family and together with Dad helped others. Most weekends were spent at her parents in Husavick, or at her brother Tony's in Arnes. Other weekends, Mom would pack a cooler and someone was always invited to join us for many day trips or visiting family. Mom loved her garden and would share her rewards. She was always making pedishka for showers and holidays. If she had she'd give you whatever she could. She spent four yeas as Dad's caregiver going three times a week for his dialysis treatments. Mom loved to go for lunch keeping in touch especially with neighbours who had moved away. Thanks to her neighbours and long time friends who helped in many ways. Through your kindness Mom was able to be involved with St. Joseph's Seniors, St. Anthony Leisure Club, Middle Church Supper Senior group, St. Theresa's Whist group and to be able to go for your day trips to Gimli. She looked forward to her bus trips and loved bingo. Mom cherished being with her family and Christmas was always important to her. We were blessed to have Mom in our lives and now forever in our hearts. Thank-you to everyone who knew Mom and who shared in her life We would like to thank the R.C.M.P officers for the compassion that was conveyed to the family at such a difficult time and to Gilbart Funeral Home. We would also like to thank in advance Lucy Nelson and ladies for preparing lunch, Marilyn Johnson for music and hymns.
