TONY RACHUK Peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2008, Dad, aged 79 years, of Stead, MB, went to sleep at the Pine Falls Hospital with his girls by his side. He went to be with his wife Eleanor (nee Rach) who left us on August 6, 2008. Dad leaves to deeply mourn his daughters whom he loved with all his heart, Bev and Yvonne, his son in-law Wayne Gunning, brother Mike, sister in-law Margaret, brothers in-law Harold (Evelyn), Martin (Emily) and Lloyd (Elaine), also many nieces and nephews. Dad was a quiet and gentle man who welcomed everyone to his home with a big smile. Dad worked very hard for C.N. for 40 years. He enjoyed his yard work. In the winter his driveway was shovelled like pavement, in summer he would be seen on the lawn mower that he enjoyed and loved. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, December 30 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour, MB. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 31 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Jude's Anglican Church in Grand Marais, MB with Rev. Judy Whitmore officiating. Interment will follow in the Jack Fish Lake Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Gunning, Michael Rachuk, Corey Retchuk, Kenny Smorhay, Philip Lesosky and John Hawranik.
