ELIZABETH ANN JOYAL (nee LIZETTE) January 30, 1934 December 18, 2008 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Betty Ann Joyal, on Thursday, December 18, 2008, at the Deer Lodge Centre, at the age of 74 years, in her sleep. Besides her beloved and only son Lawrence, Betty Ann leaves to mourn her passing, her sister Gerri Cove; along with many in-laws; nieces and nephews. She will be joining her parents, Herb and Georgina Lizette, in Heaven. Betty Ann grew up, attended school and resided in Norwood Grove. She attended Holy Cross Academy and later Norwood Collegiate Institute, where she became the president of the Glee Club. Betty Ann began her career at Manitoba Bridge Works and later at Canada Packers, as a key punch operator, where she retired from in 1991. Betty Ann had many interests but her favourite activities were crosswords, watching figure skating, as well as, the many friendships she treasured. Betty Ann will be sadly missed by the C.P. Gals, as well as, her good friend Ida Scott. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 30 at 10:30 a.m. in the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 252 Dubuc Street, with Rev. Fr. Martin Bradbury presiding. Much thanks to Dene Joyal for her help and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Betty Ann's memory, to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter, 3062 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3K 0Y1.
