BEATRICE GRACE BLACK (nee BIRD) December 23, 1952 December 26, 2008 It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our wife, mother, grandmother and sister Beatrice Black at the Pine Falls Hospital after a lengthy illness at the age of 56 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 35 years Charles and their children Stephanie and family Brandon, Jewell, Marsha and family Damien, Mercedes, Taylor, Meredith and family Kelly, Avery, Julian, Christopher and family Jessie, Savannah, Sidney, Kianna, Jerrod, Dana Bird and family Esther, Jordan Bird, foster daughter Evangeline Franklin. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Stanley, Oliver (Liz), Henry, Ron (Stella), Linda (Knud) and Lucy as well as special nieces and nephews Leah (Kelvin) Fontaine, Jason (Marge) Bird, Roberta (Sheldon), and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Moses and Sarah Jane Bird, brothers Nathaniel, Ernest, a sister Gloria, nieces Kristen Sinclair and sister in law Valerie. Wake services will be held at the family home #54A in Little Black River beginning Saturday evening. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the St. George Anglican Church, Little Black River, Manitoba with Rev. Nancy and Rev. Richard Bruyere officiating. Interment in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Allen Bird, Jason Bird, Vincent Bird, Irvin Sayer, Derek Harry and Sonny Bird. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nursing Staff of the Pine Falls Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Beatrice, it will not be forgotten.
