RAYMOND ADOLF RAUCH (RAY) September 18, 1922 December 24, 2008 After a long and courageous battle with Parkinson Disease, our loving husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa passed away on December 24, 2008 at the age of 86 years. Ray will always be loved and remembered by Frances, his loving wife of 62 years; and by his children: Ken (Beatrice), Lesley (Jim Hogg), Gerry (Dawn) and Tim (Carol); his eight grandchildren; Tracy, Kerry (Roger Ramsay), Tammy (Mike Terleski), Jaci (Clayton Martin), Candy (John Kostusik), Justin Hogg (Sarah), Sean (Kerri) and Meghan; 10 great-grandchildren; and siblings Dorothea, and Iris. Ray was predeceased by his parents, Pauline and Adolf, brothers, Arthur and Reuben, and sister Gertrude. Ray was born and raised in Biggar, Saskatchewan. He joined the Canadian Army and then transferred to the RCAF until the end of the Second World War. After the war he moved to Winnipeg where he met his wife Frances. They were married Feb 1, 1947. Most of his working life was spent as a Carman/Welder with the CNR at Fort Rouge and Transcona shops. Visitation will be on Monday, December 29 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Community Church, 430 Lakewood Blvd. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Society of Manitoba. The family wishes to thank the Concordia Place staff for their compassion and kind care.
