MARGE LAGIMODIERE It is with heavy hearts and some relief that we announce the passing of Margaret Lagimodiere (nee Walsh). Marge was born in Winnipeg in 1927. She recently lost the love of her life, Bill, but is survived by sons and daughters: Sandra (John), George (Lorelei), Gail (Bob), Gary (Sandra), and Bill (Lorraine); siblings: Billy, Doreen (Larry), Dorothy (Mervin) , Raymond (Julie). She also had a great number of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, of which she was quite fond. Marge retired as a provider of home care in 1990, for which she went to Red River Community college to obtain certification in her later forties. Such a profession was a perfect fit for her kind and generous ways, as she was always made herself available to help in some way. She was a talented seamstress, which she leveraged to help some of the elderly people to which she provided care. It was not uncommon for her to whip-up a throw cover to place over a worn sofa or chair. She enjoyed playing all sorts of card games, particularly ones where she could expand her travelling change purse, which was always nearby, and provided us with a laugh. As she got older, she spent a fair bit of time decorating and painting ornamental items with her darling Bill, who was never too far away. She will be missed. The family would like to thank the 6E staff at the Deer Lodge Centre for their exceptional care. Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. A funeral service will be held at the Green Acres Funeral Home (located east on Hwy. 1), on Tuesday, December 30, at 2:00 p.m. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery # 1 Green Acres Lane, (204) 222-3241 Life stories may be shared with friends and family across the globe at www.mem.com
