MARIANNA EUGENIA OLBERT (nee WASILEWSKI) It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Marianna Eugenia Olbert on Friday, December 26, 2008 at the age of 82 years. Marianna was born in Niszczewice, Poland on September 13, 1926 to Stanislawa and Maksymilian Wasilewski. In 1952 she moved to Canada and settled in Winnipeg. Shortly after she married Kazimierz Olbert. Marianna is survived by her only son Teodor and wife Janina Wasilewski, grandchildren Gregory (Yola) Wasilewski, Joanna (Brent) Clowater and great-grandchildren Jeremy and Ryan Wasilewski and Evelyn and Angelina Clowater. She also leaves to mourn numerous relatives in Poland. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Kazimierz and great-granddaughter Camellia Wasilewski. The family would like to thank the 3East staff at Riverview Health Centre for their care and compassion during Marianna's stay. Special thanks Dr. T. Kroczak and family friend Krystyna Powazka, the Home Care workers at Polish Manor, especially Helen and Halina. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Cantius Roman Catholic Church, 846 Burrows Avenue on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Fr. Ceas Chmiel officiating. Viewing will be at 10:00 a.m. before mass. Interment at Holy Ghost Cemetery. An online book of condolences may be signed at www.cropo.com.
