THELMA WINNINGTON JONES Thelma Winnington Jones on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at the age of 84 years. She is survived by her husband Robert and her daughters Diane Jones (James Ripley), Barbara Jones and Lorraine Stone (Ken), her grandchildren, brother Murray Lawson, sister-in-law Ann Jones and nieces and nephews. She was born in Winnipeg on August 25, 1924, the only daughter of John and Martha Laubenstein, and attended Queenston, Robert H. Smith and Kelvin High School. She and Bob Jones were married on June 23, 1950. They lived and raised their family in Winnipeg and she was very involved in the lives of her grandchildren. She was much loved and appreciated by her husband and family and will be greatly missed. A private family service will be held.
