OLGA MAKOWSKY It is with sadness we announce the passing of Olga Makowsky on December 25, 2008 at the age 75 years at Riverview Health Centre. Olga was born September 21, 1933 in Poplarfield, Manitoba. She will be sadly missed by husband Mike of 36 years. She also leaves two sons: Terry Winnicky and Richard (Penny) Winnicky and two grandchildren Keith and Candace Winnicky. Olga is fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters. Peter (Stella) Rozak, Mary Kowal, Walter (Lena) Rozak, Tony Kulbaba, Kathrine (Peter) Hrehoruk and numerous nieces and nephews. Olga was predeceased by parents John and Annie Rozak, and first husband Walter Winnicky. Olga worked for 26 years at Charleswood Care Center. She enjoyed baking, cooking and outdoor gardening. We would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Riverview Health Centre 3E for their care and kindness. Viewing will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Care Manitoba.
