Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALINA (EILEEN) SCHOBEL (nee Bunkowske) May 8, 1912 - December 27, 2008 Peacefully, Mom passed away on December 27, 2008 at Calvary Place Personal Care Home, with her daughter Donna by her side. Alina Schobel of Winnipeg passed away at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Martin Schobel, mom was predeceased by many family members in Poland and Germany. Alina is survived by her two daughters, Donna and Jane (Henry), and one son Melvyn, 14 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Alina was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1930 settling in Winnipeg. Alina loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always helping wherever she could, whether it was sewing, baking, or babysitting. She would never forget anyone's birthday or any other celebrations. She also enjoyed travelling with her husband after his retirement to Romania and Germany to be reunited with their families. A special thanks to the staff of Calvary Place Personal Care Home, and a very special thanks to Pastor Bruce Logan of Calvary Temple, for his many visits and kindness to Alina and her family. Funeral service will be held Friday, January 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, with Pastor Bruce Logan officiating. Interment in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Faith to Live By, or Calvary Place Personal Care Home, available at the service.

This is my gramma i still miss her alot and always will, she was a great gramma to me when i was little she would always fed me and she wouldnt let anyone else do it. Gramma you are always loved and i know i you dont want me to cry over you because one day i will see you again, in heaven.
