LORENZO RAMOS June 12, 1978 - December 28, 2008 Surrounded by his family and friends, Lorenzo, passed away, after a courageous battle with cancer. Lorenzo is survived by his daughter Kaleigh Ramos; his mother Rosenda; his father Alberto; brother Alvin; sisters, Lea, Anna Liza and Lorena. Lorenzo also leaves to mourn his friends, Peter Manabat, Jojo Lagman, Marty Beloroso and their families, and the many friends he made through his volunteer work at St. Boniface Hospital and CancerCare. Lorenzo was known for his positive attitude and kind nature. Lorenzo became family to all he met and was loved by all who knew him. A special thank you to Dr. Yaffe, Dr. Wong, Dr. Gingerich, Dr. Yip, Tracy Heppner and the staff of 7A West, nurse Kathy, the many angels from CancerCare St. Boniface Hospital, Simone and Father Roland, members of the Pathfinders Radio Club, and all who helped Lorenzo during his hardest and most persevering times. Viewing will be held on January 2, 2009 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Reception following viewing to be held at the Asper Building (behind St. Boniface Hospital) from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a trust fund for Lorenzo's daughter, Kaleigh Ramos, to be established at a later date. God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so He put his arms around you and whispered, Come to Me . With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away, and although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. Lorenzo, we love you and miss you... We will never forget you.
