Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEAH ROE DUNN (nee RANDALL) It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Leah Dunn, on December 29, 2008, in her 92nd year. Born August 14, 1917 to Edwin and Ethel Randall, of Solsgirth, Manitoba, Leah married Hugh Dunn on November 5, 1938 and they moved to Winnipeg in 1941, settling in North Kildonan. When Hugh was called to the Second World War, she moved back to Solsgirth. After the war, they returned to North Kildonan with three children in tow, later moving to Pembina Highway and finally settling in Transcona in 1956, to raise their six children. Leah was predeceased by husband Hugh; son Rick; and her six siblings. She is survived by sons, Floyd (Linda), Vern and Lynn (Lois); daughters, Sheryl (John) and Kim (Eugene); daughter-in-law Donna; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; all of whom were the love of her life. Leah also enjoyed close relations with many nieces, nephews and innumerable friends. The world will be poorer for the loss of her good humour and friendship. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Leah's homecare workers for their wonderful care over the last two years. Funeral will be held at Wheeler's Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave. W., Saturday, January 3 at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Rob Falk presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gideon Bible Society.
