Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (ROBIN) DOUGLAS DAVIE Peacefully, after a long illness, Robert Robin Douglas Davie, passed away, on December 28, 2008, at Concordia Hospital. He is survived by his wife Shirley and long time friend Marilyn Mensforth. Robin was predeceased by his mother and father and his one sister Audrey. Robin was born in 1925 and raised in Winnipeg. He and his wife, Shirley, resided for many years in the Transcona area. He worked for the CNR for 42 years. During the Second World War, Robin enlisted in the Canadian Navy and served his country well. Robin and Shirley spent many winters in Florida, where they met many wonderful people with whom they became friends. In later years, Robin and Shirley took up golf as a means of recreation. They enjoyed this sport for many years. We would like to thank the doctors and staff of Concordia Hospital for their care and concern of Robin. There will be a service of celebration at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, 276 Hugo St. North, on Friday, January 2, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michaels and All Angels Church, 300 Hugo St. N., Winnipeg, MB R3M 2N7.
