Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAZEL DOREEN ANDERSON (nee PENNELL) Carleton University, retired Peacefully, at home, in Ottawa, with her family at her side, in her 65th year, on Tuesday, December 30, 2008. Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Lillian Pennell (Argue); brothers, Lorne, Garnet and wife Joan; nephews, Craig Pennell, Vince Dulisse and god-child Leah Challis. Mourning her loss are her cherished sons, Jared and wife Wendy, Trent and wife Kyla, the father of her sons, Bill; her brother Glenn Pennell, sister-in-law Muriel Pennell, Donna Pennell, many loved aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, god-children and her many friends. Special thanks to Dr. Bloom and the Palliative team for their compassionate care. Hazel will always be remembered and loved by all who knew her. In our hearts her spirit lives. Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, January 2 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home (1411 Hunt Club Rd. at Albion Road), Ottawa. Please join us in a celebration of Hazel's life at Riverside United Church (3191 Riverside Dr., Ottawa) on Saturday, January 3 at 11:00 a.m. Donations to Riverside United Church or the Hospice at May Court appreciated.
