DAVID CATER After many years of declining health, David, peacefully, passed away, at Third Crossing Manor, on December 31, 2008, at 61 years of age. David leaves to mourn his passing his sisters, Phyllis (Peter) DeRoche, of Winnipeg, Valerie (Gary) Shymanshi, of Sifton, and Dianne Heidman, of Winnipeg. He also leaves two nieces, one nephew, one great-niece, three great-nephews; as well as, other relatives and many friends. David was predeceased by his father Herb, in 1987; his mother Lorna, in 2005; and niece Joey, in 1995 We, the family wish to express our sincere thanks to the following people for all their kindness, caring and compassion, at this most difficult time: Dr L. Antonissen and nursing staff of the medical ward at the Portage la Prairie Hospital; the doctors and nurses at the Gladstone Hospital; Bob Clarke at Clarke's Funeral Home; Pastor Randy Fehr and most importantly, the staff at Third Crossing Manor. In accordance with David's wishes, there will be no formal service. A private family service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2009 with Pastor Randy Fehr officiating. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
