RUDI TERHOCH It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rudi Terhoch, on November 19, 2008, at the age of 87, at Seven Oaks Hospital. He will be forever remembered and cherished by his daughters, Rosalie Zatser, Harriet (Carey Boroditsky); grandchildren, Aryeh, Zachary, Alissa (Jonatan), Mark (Michelle); and newest joy, great-granddaughter Pearl Annabelle. Rudi was predeceased by his beloved wife Anne (Bronstein); daughter Shelley; his twin brother Kurt; son-in-law Morley Zatser and parents, Adolf and Frieda Terhoch. As a teenager, Rudi emigrated from Germany with his parents and Kurt. Later both boys became electricians. Rudi took great pride in his ability to fix anything without the need for instructions. He loved people and they loved him right back. Never shy about starting a conversation with a complete stranger he could talk endlessly to anyone about anything. His people skills were his true gift and much appreciated and envied by all he touched personally. Rudi married Anne, the love of his life, and proudly raised three daughters. Having a special needs daughter did not slow down Rudi and Anne at all. They showered her with love and attention helping Shelley become a happy and productive member of society. He especially loved family gatherings with his children and grandchildren and was very proud of the fine young adults they had become. Funeral was held on November 21 at the Etz Chaim and was conducted by Rabbi Lander and Cantor Tracy Kasner Greaves. Pallbearers were Marvin and Marshall, Andrew and Iain Terhoch, Martin and Daniel Billinkoff. The family would like to thank Dr. Ross, doctors, nurses and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for the compassionate care given to dad and the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shalom Residences Inc.
