EDITH FLORENCE WARD 1924 - 2008 Peacefully on December 28th at the age of 84 Mum passed away. She was born in Red Hill, Surrey, England and enjoyed a very happy childhood. She and Dad met during the Second World War, married and their first son Roy was born. During the war she combined duties as a nurse and taking care of her new family. In 1946 she immigrated to Canada to be with Dad and ended up in Winnipeg. Alan was born in 1947. Mum worked for Lafarge Concrete until her retirement at age 65. She enjoyed many golden years with family and friends. She is survived by Roy (grandson Austin), Alan (wife Jeanette, grandson Greg-Suzanne and great-grandchildren Britney and Devin) Mum was predeceased by her husband Irwin and daughter-in-law Martha. Special thanks to Oakview Place Nursing Home for the past few years and especially during her final hours.
