IDA MARY SCOTT (nee NEFF) On Monday, December 29, 2008, Ida, at the age of 97, went home to her heavenly Father. She was a deeply religious person who lived her faith. She was predeceased by her husband, John Thomas Scott, her sisters, Yvonne Labelle and Anne (Sister Viola) and grandson Ryan. Ida will be sadly missed by her sons, Ron (Carol), Joe (Pat), Barry, Rob (Judi Anne) and John (Diana), as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and friends. Ida was born in St. Eustache, Manitoba but lived most of her life in Winnipeg. She was a stay at home Mom and enjoyed looking after her family and house. Ida spent many enjoyable years at the family cabin on Brereton Lake, traveling in Europe and Hawaii from the late 1960s to mid 1970s and was a Texas Snow Bird for 15 years until the mid 1990s. Ida was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a long time member of the St. Thomas More C.W.L. She loved to crochet and shared her work with family and friends. Ida had a green thumb, especially with African violets. Four handed cribbage was her favourite card game. The pallbearers are her grandsons, Jeff, Paul, Mike, Gary, Aaron and Nathan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ida's memory to the Missionaries of Africa, C.P. Box 23-228 Hamel Ave., Winnipeg MB, R2H 3B4 or a charity of your choice. The funeral service and reception to celebrate Ida's life will be held on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 252 Dubuc Ave., St. Boniface with Father Martin Bradbury officiating. Burial to follow at Assumption Cemetery at 4000 Portage Ave. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
