HELGA DORA MUELLER (nee ROTSCHIESS) Our dearest Mama passed away on December 21, 2008, just 10 days after her 76th birthday, at her beloved home, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Mama was born on December 11, 1932. She spent the first 19 years of her life in Eastern Germany. She immigrated to Canada with her parents in 1951. She married Dad in 1954 and was blessed with three children. Her life ambition was to care for her family and make sure her children would have a better life than she had in East Germany. How proud she was of her children: her oldest daughter became a pharmacist; the younger daughter a teacher; and her son a chartered accountant. To see her happy face all you had to do was ask about her children! We all loved her and, in return, she was and always will be the best mother, and of course, wife to our father. Mom will be sadly missed by her children, Evelyn (Walter), Rosemary (Cameron), Herbert (Diane); her grandchildren, Laura, James, Aiden and Kaylie; and her husband Herbert. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Martha Rotschiess. In her own words she often said, I remember them daily . Now God has reunited the three again. At Helga's request, a private family service was held on December 24, 2008 with Pastor Bachmeyer officiating. Her final resting place is close to her parents at Brookside Cemetery.
