Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLARRY ALEX HALAGAZA 1958 - 2008 On Sunday, December 28th, 2008, surrounded by the love of his father and cousin Gary and wife Fern Welz, Larry passed away after a lengthy illness at the St. Boniface Hospital. Larry was born on August 19th, 1958 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and was the only child of Alex and Mary Halagaza. He was predeceased by his Mother, Mary (nee Trupish). He is survived by his Father Alex; Uncles Bill Halagaza, Paul (Shirley) Halagaza; Aunties Anne (Fred) Kern, Anne Holowach, Mary Woods, Keitha Halagaza; and many other family and friends. Larry graduated from Gordon Bell High School and later from Red River Community College with a business administration diploma. He was employed at Manitoba Public Insurance Corporation for over 25 years, until his passing. Larry enjoyed all sports, especially football and the Big Blue. He had gone to most of the Grey Cups until his health began to fail. He loved British Columbia and travelled there many times and had one day planned to move to Kelowna when he retired. Throughout his life Larry always had a big smile which will be missed. The family would like to send a special thank you to the 2nd floor staff in the ICU at the St. Boniface Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Home with viewing beginning at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Larry's memory to a charity of your choice.
