AIMEE NOELLA LAFRANCE July 17, 1921 - December 30, 2008 With heavy hearts the family of Aimée Lafrance announces her passing on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Foyer Valade at the age of 87. Aimée has gone to be with her beloved husband John (1975) who she missed so dearly, and her sisters Sandra, Margaret, Lorraine, and her brothers Leo, Andy and Max. She is survived by her sister Fernie of Winnipeg and her brother John of Sherwood Park, Alberta. Aimée was the gentle and loving mother to her seven children: Lynne (Alan); Pat (Darryl); Len (Sharon); Michelle (Bob); Marc (Dorota); Monique (Bruce); and Carole (Don). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Bridget, Gerry, Darryl, Jason, Alison, Scott, Geoffrey, Chris, Danielle, Jeunesse, Blair, Dana, Sean, Joey, Trevor; and her 13 great-grandchildren. Aimée was a loving and compassionate woman who dedicated her life to her family. She spent countless hours baking for her family - her mouth-watering apple pies, tourtières, and home baked cookies to name a few. It was never a chore for her - she always did it with a smile and her favourite main ingredient - LOVE. We will never forget the taste, Mom. A special thank you to the amazing team at Foyer Valade who treat every patient and family with such dignity and respect in a difficult time. Mom was blessed when she was welcomed into your home. We have not yet grasped her leaving us - but we will move forward with memories of her beauty, her love, her dedication, her listening and her wisdom. We can never be separated from those we love ... because God leaves us with memories to hold and love that doesn't pass away. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, 847 St. Mary's Road. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date in Saint-Pierre-Jolys, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 9Z9 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolences at www.desjardins-funeral.ca DESJARDINS 233-4949 1-888-233-4949
