ELLEN ELIZABETH LAMBERD (BETTY) (nee SELLICK) On Tuesday, December 30, 2008, Betty passed away, peacefully, at Sunnybrook Hospital, in Toronto, ON, with all her family by her side. Betty was born April 17, 1925 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was predeceased by Gordon, her loving husband; and her parents, Ethel and Alfred; as well as, her brother Ken (Phyllis). She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Alison (Mike), Susan (Harv), Cathie (Kirby); grandchildren, Tara, Connor, Brendan and Lauren; her sister Phyllis (Al); and many nieces and nephews. Betty lived most of her life in Winnipeg. She trained at St. Boniface Hospital and worked at Mount Carmel Clinic and Seven Oaks Hospital. She was a member of the St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Altar Guild, for many years. She really enjoyed spending time at their cottage at Grindstone Provincial Park. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial reception on Saturday, January 10, 2009 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Sunnybrook Hospital for their compassion and loving care given to Mom.
