ANNE HLADY (nee Letwin) In sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at the Beausejour Hospital at the age of 101 years. Anne (Mom) was predeceased by her husband John in 1986, grandson Patrick in 1985 and daughter Anita in 2005. She is survived by her children David, Paul and Delores, Ella and Sam, Mary, Elaine and David, Edna and Felix and Benny, 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, also numerous nieces and nephews. Mother was born in Thalberg, MB on September 11, 1907. After mom and dad married, they farmed in Greenwald and raised a family of eight children. That's where the parents and children worked hard and long hours to get all the farm chores done. They sold the farm and local store in 1947 and moved to Whitemouth where they ran a General Store. From 1963 to 1971 they worked at White Lake Resort and built their retirement home in Beausejour, finally retiring in 1971. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Mom's care workers for their wonderful care over the past years. Our deepest heartfelt thanks to our sister Mary for her special care she provided our Mother in her own home, and to the doctor and nurses who made her last days comfortable and dignified. May God bless them all for their loving kindness. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Park Avenue, Beausejour with Rev. Fr. Damien Dutka, OSBM and Deacon Stefan Tyrawski presiding. Interment will follow in the Holy Ghost Parish Cemetery. A Mother is special, So is her name. Without her love, Life won't be the same. As long as we live, We will always be glad, To treasure the memories Of the Mother we had. We love you Mom.
