Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALEX KYLUIK May 31, 1924 - December 29, 2008 On December 29, 2008, Alex Kyluik passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 84. Alex will be lovingly remembered and missed by his sons, Jim (Joan) Kyluik and Mark (Linda) Kyluik and daughter, Valerie (Jim) Blomquist; grandchildren, Camilla, Tara, Dana, Tess, Kirstyn, Dean, Shaina, Teagan and Ian; great-grandchildren, Keishia and Justyn; brothers, Dick, Mike and Peter and sister, Mary. Predeceased by parents, Nicholas and Molly; and brothers, John and Bill. Alex immigrated from Cherniatyn, Ukraine to Saskatchewan in 1927. He moved to Winnipeg as a young man where he met his wife and raised his family. He worked with his brother at Perfect Tailors and for 20 years was involved with thoroughbred racing. Dad enjoyed sports, fishing and coached baseball in his early years. He also enjoyed cards, playing music and was a skilled carpenter. Dad had challenges but still had a zest for life. He touched all with his kind and gentle ways. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Capital Care Lynnwood for taking care of Dad during his stay. We'd also like to thank the ICU staff at the Misericordia Hospital for providing excellent care and compassion over Dad's last days. Celebration of Life will take place in the Spring.
