Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALEXANDER STANLEY DELARONDE September 18, 1946 - December 26, 2008 Suddenly on vacation in Las Vegas, Nevada, Alex left our world to join his beloved Beatrice who also left us on April 9, 2008. He was predeceased by his father George, mother Alice and brother Joe. Alex leaves to mourn his passing daughters, Angel and Stacie, and grandson Lee; brothers, Louie (Yvonne), Clifford (Rosemary), Harold (Pauline), Georgie and Bobby Munroe; sisters, Rita Campbell, Jane St. Goddard and Florence Watson. Alex was very close to Bea's family and held them close to his heart. He was predeceased by father-in-law James; mother-in-law Mary Ann (passed April 12, 2008); brothers-in-law, Albert (passed June 25, 2008) (Flora), Earl and Donald (Sandra). He also leaves to mourn brothers-in-law, Gordon (Lowina), Clarence, Oliver (Patsy), Ronald (Jennifer); sisters-in-law, Elsie (Jim) Dumas, Alice Rose (Carl passed April 17, 2008) Morisseau and Linda (Brian) Mckay; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Alex was born and raised in Duck Bay, MB. He attended school there and later in Cranberry Portage, MB. He shared many stories of his family and friends when growing up and made us laugh to no end. In the early 1960s he moved to Thompson and met the girl of his dreams. Alex and Beatrice shared an extra special bond that all of us were privileged to be part of. Although not legally married, they truly lived the sacred vows to the fullest in the eyes of their loved ones. We considered them both huge examples of integrity, kindness, support and strength. They lovingly raised their girls in a home where laughter was always the key to happiness and family came first. Alex worked for the City of Thompson and retired in 2005. He took such great care of Bea throughout her illness, never complaining and always valuing the time they had together. Alex spent the last seven months in Winnipeg and took much pleasure spending new found time with family and friends. He always had a smile and a story or joke to share with anyone who crossed his path. His loving nature will be greatly missed. A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2009 in Winnipeg at Cropo Funeral Chapel at 1442 Main Street with prayers beginning at 7:00 p.m. Another viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 in Ste. Rose du Lac, MB from the Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Chapel from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with cremation to follow.
