JOLEEN TAYLOR (nee ERICKSON) 1939 -2009 Peacefully on January 1, 2009 our beloved Mom and Amma passed away after a battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Sigrid (Lorne), Ben (Louise), Jason (Denise) and Rick. She was cherished by her eight grandchildren, Kassandra, Phillip, Nathan, Brodie, Samantha, Zachary, Aaron, and Max. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Oli, Helgi, Louise, Margaret and numerous nephews and nieces. She was born on Christmas Day, 1939 on Hecla Island, one of nine children. She always valued her close family connection to all of them. She felt that she had lived a life that was enriched by her children and her grandchildren. She used to love going on her casino jaunts with her family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved sister Gwen and brothers, John, Thor and Eric. The family would like to thank everyone at CancerCare in Steinbach including Dr. Reimer. We would also like to thank all the great nurses at Bethesda Hospital for all their wonderful care. Cremation has taken place as per her wishes. In celebration of her life an open house for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January l0 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at 35 Malibu Road.
