ELIZABETH O'NEILL January 15, 1922 January 2, 2009 Elizabeth O'Neill of Calgary passed away on Friday, January 2, 2009 at the age of 86 years. Born in Ballymena, Northern Ireland Elizabeth served in British Air Force in England during the Second World War. Elizabeth immigrated to Canada with her husband James and children in 1952, eventually settling in Winnipeg. In 1989 Elizabeth and James moved to Calgary to be near their children where she has since resided. Following the passing of James in 2002 Elizabeth moved to the Canyon Meadows Retirement Residence where she met many new friends and lived life to the fullest. Elizabeth is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Margaret and Bernt Smith of Claresholm, AB; a son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Linda O'Neill of Calgary; a grandson Ryland (Natalie) O'Neill of Regina, SK; a granddaughter Jessica Street of Calgary; and a great-granddaughter Sophie O'Neill of Regina. She is also survived by her eldest sister Ethel McMullin and younger sister Maurice Wylie, both of Ballymena, Northern Ireland. Besides her loving husband Elizabeth was predeceased by two brothers, Bobby and Sam Wylie. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
