CHRISTINE (REBIZANT) KLIMCHUK

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTINE (REBIZANT) KLIMCHUK March 25, 1912 - January 2, 2009 Peacefully, with family at her side, Christine Klimchuk, aged 96 years, passed away at the River East Personal Care Home. Christine was born in Rebizanty, Poland to Eljasz and Marie Rebizant and immigrated to Canada in 1932. She married Nick Klimchuk on November 4, 1934, settling in Tyndall, Manitoba where they raised their four children. Christine was predeceased by her husband, Nick, daughter Christine, son-in-law, Derry Cardey and her six siblings. She is survived by her sons, Father Walter Klimchuk, John (Pearl) Klimchuk, daughter Marjorie Cardey, and her brother Nick Rebizant and his family and numerous family in the Ukraine and Poland. Christine is also survived by her grandchildren, Brenda (Glen) Wilgosh, Michael (Traci) Klimchuk, Jill Cardey, Jeff Cardey (Celine Delorme), and great grand children, Jennifer, Jessica, and Ryan Wilgosh. Christine had a full life and enjoyed time with family and friends. She was a woman of deep faith who always had a kind word to say or a warm hug to give. Christine also loved to sing and sang in the church choir for many years. She also enjoyed many travels and had the opportunity to return to Poland to visit her family and spent time travelling to various places in the United States with her son, Father Walter Klimchuk. Christine never complained and was never a burden to anyone, only a blessing. There are no words that can express how much Mom, Baba, Christine, will be missed. She was loved by all that knew her and will live in our hearts forever. The family wishes to thank the staff at River East Personal Care Home for the care they provided to Mom. The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 10:30 am at St. Anne's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 455 Douglas Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Viewing will commence at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. The Interment will be at St. Michael's Cemetery in Tyndall, Manitoba.
