Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN FARBER (nee PARADOSKI) Peacefully on the morning of January 2, 2009, Helena Valerie Farber (nee Paradoski), aged 89 years, passed away at the Kildonan Personal Care Home in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She will be lovingly missed by her surviving family, sons, Edward, James, and Gusty, and grandchildren, Lisa, Michele, Clinton, Jeffery, Ryan, and Jennifer. Helen was predeceased by her son, Alexander (Kie Kie) in 1964. Helen dedicated her life to the love and care of her family, first, as a Mother to her four boys and then towards her ailing Mother until her death. Helen dearly loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a wonderful story teller, relating family history, and entertaining children with exciting bedtime stories. Helen also leaves to mourn her passing, her brothers, Stanley (Donalda) and Anthony (Marjorie), and her sister-in-law, Laura. Helen was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Antonia, sister, Tillie, brothers, Joseph and Walter, and sister-in-law, Peggy. Helen was born on February 7, 1919 in Stuartburn, Manitoba and later moved with her parents to Winnipeg until they moved to St. Andrews, Manitoba in early 1928. Helen lived most of her life at the family home in St. Andrews, before moving to an apartment in Winnipeg. Helen missed the rural life of St. Andrews and being outdoors working in her garden. Helen also loved travelling abroad and was an avid fan of baseball. A private family interment will take place this spring.
