Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE WESLEY WATSON Peacefully on January 1, 2009 at the East Gate Lodge in Beausejour, MB, George Watson, aged 88 years, formerly of Brokenhead, MB. Dad was born in Oak Lake, MB on February 17, 1920, son of the late Joseph and Edith Watson. He enlisted with the armed forces during the Second World War. He married Rita Kathleen Relf on May 20, 1944 and after the war worked for Nelson River Construction until his retirement in 1985. He also farmed in Brokenhead until 1996 and continued to live on the farm until May of 2006 at which time he moved to the East Gate Lodge in Beausejour. George was predeceased by his beloved wife Rita in May of 1974 and son Wes in 1997. He leaves surviving three daughters Sylvia Dillabough (Art), Sharron Molinski (Lorne) and Linda Wusaty (George); seven grandchildren Jason (Debra), Stacey (Marcia), Randy (Tracey), Wes (Melissa), Doug (Jen), Melissa and Greg; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters Eleanor, Joyce and Shirley and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 7 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Rev. Brad Elliott officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Clements Cemetery and his grandsons will be his pallbearers. Thank you to Dr. Zeiler and the wonderful staff at East Gate Lodge, you brought out the best in Dad. He loved the music, activities and the occasional joke. Flowers are gratefully declined, those so wishing can make a donation in his memory to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg R3L 0K6.
