JAMES A. MCMULLIN It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of James McMullin, on Saturday, January 3, 2009. Jim was born in Winnipeg on November 11, 1940. He was predeceased by his father James and mother Jessie. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sharon; children, Laurie (Lorry), James (Lisa), Robbie, Gary (Sue), Jenny (Ron); grandchildren, Jamie, Janel, Denise, Kayla, Ryan, Emmy, Ronnie, Garison; and his sisters, Joyce and Shirley; as well as, many nieces, nephews and friends. Jim was raised and educated in Winnipeg, and worked as a journeyman electrician on the DEW line, Health Sciences Centre, microwave sites in Ontario, and Deer Lodge Hospital. After taking courses in engineering he worked at the Winnipeg Art Gallery as Chief Engineer until his retirement. Jim loved spending time outdoors, camping and fishing all over Manitoba. He loved going to his cottage at Winnipeg Beach, where he spent every summer since he was a boy. Jim enjoyed talking to people all over the world on his HAM radio, reading, and watching old westerns and war documentaries. Jim was a kind person with a warm, wise, generous heart and a quick witted humour. The family extends their thanks to all the staff at SOGH, who took such good care of him over the years. Funeral service will be held at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a reception in the Mosaic Reception Lounge. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame. I'll meet you at the pine tree, my best friend and soul mate. S.A.M. loves J.A.M.
