GERTRUDE FALK Our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Gertrude Falk, passed away, on Sunday, January 4, 2009, at the Menno Home, in Grunthal, Manitoba. She reached the age of 93 years, seven months and two days. Mom was predeceased by her husband, our Dad, Cornelius Rempel Falk; two sisters, Annie and Marilyn; two brothers, David and Henry; and her parents, Isaac F. and Elizabeth (Wiebe) Giesbrecht. She was also predeceased by her step-mother; two step-brothers; and one step-sister. She leaves to mourn her passing, son Edwin and Sandra; grandson Gerry and Corinne Falk; with great-grandsons, Tristen and Riley; granddaughter Audra and Jason Wyryha; with great-granddaughters, Jessica and Alexis; her daughter Elfrieda and Gerald Neufeld; with grandsons, Jordan and Jeffrey. She also leaves to mourn three brothers, Frank Giesbrecht, Menno Giesbrecht and Leonard Giesbrecht; four sisters, Dora Friesen, Hilda Wall, Susan Carlyle and Justina Thiessen; step-sister Alma Saba; sisters-in-law, Marie Giesbrecht, Helen Funk, Agatha Barkman; and special sister-in-law and friend Helen Falk. Also left are many nieces and nephews. We mourn not as those who have no hope. The funeral service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive, Steinbach, MB, on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. with interment at Heritage Cemetery.
