ELLA (TETA AUNTY EL) KAUK Peacefully, on Thursday, January 1, 2009, surrounded by the love of her family, Ella, returned to Heaven in God's grace. Ella leaves to cherish her spirit, her loving family, Mara Drpa, Arsen Aban, and Arsen Del Aban; sister Caroline and family; niece Melita; nephews, George, Les, Terry; and extended family. Ella was born on May 14, 1932, in Winnipeg. An adventurous tomboy, climbing trees, playing baseball, and hooky, were just some of Ella's favourite things to do as a child. Ella always put the needs of others first and at an early age, entered the work force to support her family. She never tired of making light of any difficulties she encountered. All came to her for approval, and to share news because of the love and compassion she gave. Ella's passions were writing poems and recipes often on opposite sides of a paper to ensure laughter and a good meal. Ella was never one to grow up or act her age. She embodied the philosophy of young at heart. In the face of adversity, Ella laughed. She never grew weary of spreading joy with her wit and charm. Her unrelenting positive attitude was reflected thusly: Row Row Row your boat Gently down the stream Merrily Merrily Merrily Life is but a dream All who knew Ella have been blessed to share in the love of a true angel. You have strengthened me with your prayers, blessed me with your love, and encouraged me with your hope. I give thanks to God always for you. Thess 1:2 The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to St. Boniface Hospital, Palliative, and Home Care for their support. Special thanks to Nurse Allison. We invite all those whose lives were enriched by Ella to attend a service celebrating her life at her residence at: 917 McCalman Avenue On January 8, 2009, beginning at 6:00 p.m. We will always love you, Teta!
