MARIA HOPPENHEIT 1922 - 2008 With profound sadness and much love, the family of Maria Hoppenheit announces her peaceful passing, in the early morning of Christmas Day, at the Grace Hospital. She is now reunited with her dear husband Guenter, who predeceased her on August 28, 2004, after 59 wonderful years together. Her family and the many good friends she has left behind will always keep her close in their hearts. She will be forever loved and dearly missed by her two sons, Roland and Gerhard; their spouses, Helen and Sharon; and grand-daughters, Lisa (Gerry) Dyck and Lori (Cori) Barber. Also left to lovingly remember her are her sisters, Theresa Gutwein, Anni Perz and Erna Kropfl; their families and the Hoppenheit family in Germany. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 E. and Navin Road, on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations, in Maria's memory, be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
