BRIAN BRUCE CHARTRAND It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brian Chartrand, on Sunday, January 4, 2009, at the Grace Hospital, in Winnipeg, at the age of 61 years. Remaining to forever cherish Brian's memory are his children; Cheryl (Curtis), Paul (Nicole), Robert (April), Michelle (Ty), David (Val), Joanne; and his 17 grandchildren; brothers, Marvin and Tom (Patsy); and numerous relatives, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Elizabeth; brothers, George, Nelson, Joe, Paul; and sisters, Grace and Theresa. Brian was born on March 29, 1947 to Harry and Elizabeth Chartrand, of Duck Bay, Manitoba. He had six brothers and two sisters and enjoyed spending time with them. He graduated from Brandon University in 1978 and was a school teacher for 30 years. A service of remembrance, in honor of Brian, will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. The family would like all those that knew him to consider themselves honorary pallbearers, and also a special thanks to the staff at the Grace Hospital.
