WILLIAM (BILL) GORDON GREENAWAY On January 6, 2009 in Winnipeg, Bill Greenaway passed away at 82 years of age. Bill is survived by his wife Jean; daughters, Kathryn (Randy) McLean and Maureen (Tom) Locheed; grandchildren, Scott and Mitchell, Heather and Sean; brothers, Grant, James, Donald; and sister Kay. He was predeceased by his parents Ena and Victor and brother Bob. Bill worked for Fairbanks Morse for 10 years. He then began his career working for Gulf Canada and Petro Canada as a Marketing Representative and retired in 1986. In 1986, Bill and Jean moved back to Winnipeg to enjoy their retirement years. Bill continued his dedicated service with the Masonic Lodge which gave him a lot of personal pleasure and satisfaction from being a long standing member of the Masons. Bill joined the Breezy Bend Country Club and could be found on the greens before the season opened and after the end of the season. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Harris for her support and care she provided to Bill during his illness. We also would like to thank the staff at Grace Hospital for their compassionate care. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
